Thank you to Boulder Arts & Crafts for hosting Souper Bowlder in 2009 - and for raising funds and awareness for those less fortunate in our community.
Check back later for details about the 2010 event!
Where: Boulder Arts & Crafts Gallery
What: Souper Bowlder
When:
Each year the Boulder Arts & Crafts Gallery helps raise funds and public awareness about hunger and those less fortunate in our community. This year hundreds of beautifully handcrafted ceramic soup bowls have been generously donated by well known professionals & gifted students in community & university programs. BAC celebrates the artist in everyone by selling hand painted bowls decorated by community members who generously donate their time. Through Thursday Oct 15th, come & paint a bowl at Color Me Mine @ 1938 Pearl Street for a small donation to cover materials. These bowls will be part of the fundraiser at the gallery Oct 21 through Nov 8th. Yummy prepared soup & muffin mixes packaged by the Women's Bean Project from Denver pair wonderfully with your beautiful bowls! This nonprofit organization has been helping women break the cycle of poverty and un- employment since 1989 by teaching workplace competencies for entry-level jobs, and job readiness skills in their gourmet food production business. Stock up on delicious soup & muffin mixes for the winter! Soup & Bread recipes from BAC artist/owners and staff are collected in a small edition, winter warmth to add to a hand-painted bowl. Boulder Arts & Crafts celebrates its 38th year and is a cornerstone of creativity on the Pearl Street Mall. Voted a "Top 25 Retailer" by NICHE magazine for 2007 & 2008. BAC continues to weave the arts into our community. FOR MORE INFO CONTACT: |
